senior thesis
Currently in active revision in hopes for publication. Explores the Olympic Games as a site of global imagination and urban experimentation. Blending personal narrative as a two-time Olympian with field research across six former Olympic host cities, this project examines the Olympic Village as a space of utopia, spectacle, and communitas. Drawing from urban studies, philosophy, and cultural theory, it argues for reframing the Games—not just as media spectacle or political theater, but as a uniquely global ritual where ideals of meritocracy, festivity, and shared striving can be architecturally and socially tested.
